Work on how you view yourself now
A lot of people let their happiness be determined by where they’re at in life. But, more often than not, if you don’t change the way you see yourself now, nothing is going to change once your goal has been accomplished. That’s why it’s so important to work on viewing yourself in a more positive light while you’re working on becoming healthier!
Look in the mirror. What are some of your first thoughts? Do you focus on how some areas stick out more than you want them to? Or do you recognize the strength your body must have to get you this far? Take the time to thank it for what it has done for you. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be successful. Acknowledge where you’re at right now, or you won’t be able to appreciate where you end up later.
Consult a professional
If you’re starting your weight-loss journey for the first time, or even the hundredth time, it’s never a bad idea to talk to a doctor or nutritionist. Weight loss isn’t always a one size fits all! While our Transformation Kit is a perfect place to get started, it’s still a good idea to consult a professional. They can give you advice on what kinds of foods you should eat, where to make adjustments if necessary, and how much exercise you should be incorporating into your daily routine.
Start where you’re at
If you have a big weight loss goal, it can seem very overwhelming. That’s why it’s important to start where you’re at and to not push yourself too hard. For example, if you need to lose 100 pounds, it’s not going to be possible to lose that all in one month. That wouldn’t be healthy or realistic! Start small and do what you can. As you accomplish your goals, you’ll start to gain momentum. Start with a goal to change your eating habits, then incorporate exercise. You don’t have to do it all at once! As long as you’re working on something, you’ll be successful. Just don’t give up! Your health and happiness are worth it.
